Our ghee is made by simmering creamed butter over low heat and removing the milk solids as they form, until we're left with a clear golden liquid. Ghee has a higher smoke point when compared to butter, so it doesn’t burn as quickly. This is perfect for sautéing or frying foods; because ghee separates milk from fat, this butter-substitute is lactose-free, making it friendlier than butter if you have allergies or sensitivities to dairy products.
Once opened, keep away from sunlight at room temperature and consume within 4-5 months, or store in a refrigerator for up to 2 years. Sold in 500 g portions.
